Topic/Skill: Writing and Spelling

Feedback provided to tutee: David's handwriting is definitely imrpoving. So is his sentence building which is huge. We focused a lot on writing sentences with the vocab this time around but also took time to punctuate properly and build upon what he was learning. His spelling is improving as well, as he is taking more time and care with the way he writes. It makes him think about what he is writing before he writes it.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: David really needs motivation, extrinsic, in order to get him on board with any of the activities I prepare. Again, we played games to improve his writing speed and I rewarded him with twizzlers, haha. He definitely perks up at the sight of any food. Anyway, he really needs to feel comfortable with the tutor in order to be properly engaged, so I've begun asking him to write about his day and feelings in order to make activities more personalized.
