Topic/Skill: Listening, English for business

Feedback provided to tutee: We discussed how DoJun uses English for his job and that he went to a conference for aviation that was conducted entirely in English. We spoke about the importance of English as a world language and how it is taught widely in South Korea. I provided DoJun with several videos using common English lingo for the field of aviation. He understood most of it and is very good at technical, academic English. To become more advanced I believe he should also work on learning idiomatic phrases and the multiple meanings of words.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that DoJun uses English often for his job, and that conferences used for international companies are conducted in English. I learned that it is important to help tutees learn vocabulary that will directly help them in their personal lives.
