Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned
that some common beauty standards for women are to have light skin, double
eyelids, v-shaped faces, and slender bodies. I learned that plastic surgery and
beauty products are huge industries in South Korea. I also learned that some
people follow a 10-step skin care program in both the morning and night to take
care of their skin. My partner learned that some common beauty standards or
women in America are to have skinny or toned bodies, long or pixie cut hair,
tanned skin, and straight noses. My partner learned about recent beauty trends
like contouring, winged eyeliners, and matte-looking skin.
