Jordan #TS 10

Date/Time: June 3 4:00
Location: Library
Topic/Skill:  soft c’s and s’s
Feedback provided to tutee:  I told David that he should try focus on the letters following the “c” sound to understand how it’s pronounced

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: In the spelling game we played in our previous lesson I noticed that one common error that David was making was that he would wrongly use the letter “s” in spelling words where a soft “c” was needed. To work on this I first went over the words with him that he was missing and explained how he could identify whether a C was making a soft or hard sound. After my explanation I gave David a set of words which he had to pick through and decide if the c was making a soft sound, a hard sound, or if there were two c’s making both sounds.
