Topic/Skill: Reading and Writing, Cars

Feedback provided to tutee: Matthew read two passages, one about flying cars and the other a fiction story about a traffic jam. Matthew was very interested in these passages even though they were quite long. He was able to answer both main and fine detail questions easily. When we went over unfamiliar vocabulary he was able to guess the meanings when I used the word in several example sentences. He was then able to accurately use the vocabulary to make his own sentences in his own story.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that Matthew is extraordinarily capable of finding and correcting his mistakes when they are pointed out. He corrects himself more readily than before. I learned that Matthew enjoys writing stories and drawing pictures to accompany them.
