Topic discussed: Korean and American country and transportation

Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned that Korea is very mountainous and many buildings, especially apartment buildings, are built to be very tall. I also learned that because the land area is limited, things are very close to each other and transportation is extraordinarily quick. For instance buses arrive at bus stops every 1 to 5 minutes. Also, subways are a cheap and easy way to travel. My partner learned that America is extraordinarily large with different landscapes. He learned that Florida is particularly flat and cars are almost a necessity here because everything is so far apart, and other means of transportation are too slow or expensive. Our buses come perhaps every 30 minutes to 1 hour, so they are not always reliable. And taxis are too expensive if you must take them everywhere you need to go.
