Since Abber never texted me back to meet up again after
multiple attempts of contacting her, I got in touch with Mengtian. Mengtain is
from China and for our first meeting we met at CIES. She is a research
assistant at FSU getting her phd in physics. It was really interesting talking
with her and comparing our different cultures. One of the many interesting
things I found out about her was that she is an only child because her
government wouldn’t let her parents have another child. I couldn't imagine not
growing up without my brother and it was interesting to learn how in China
there is a limit of children families can have. I can’t wait to meet up with
her again!
