Feedback provided to tutee: I decided to switch up the usual lesson from a listening video then speaking to a reading passage. Jun always said that his reading assignments were pretty easy so I started out by giving him a passage on someone's favorite restaurant he read to himself then having him speak about it and then I had him read a harder passage on the environment and ocean out loud and let me know when he did not understand a vocab word.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Jun read the passage on the restaurant story pretty fast and easily and gave me a summary about it. However, he struggled with the other passage and before even reading it he said "wow this is harder". He did really well pronouncing new words he has never seen before and we went over all the vocab words he did not know and I gave example sentences. I ended the lesson by having him explain to me the vocab words and use it in his own sentence and he did really well. I allowed him to look back at the passage to reference the sentence in context and that was helpful for him.
