Feedback provided to tutee: Since David was struggling with answering the questions after our lesson, I told him that something that may be useful in helping complete the assignment would be to read the questions before beginning the reading.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: During the lesson I tested David’s reading comprehension via his mom’s request, and had David read a short article regarding a program that brings veterans to schools and teaches students about the service they provide to the country. After he finished reading he began to start on the comprehension questions that went along with the assignment, during this I noticed that he was struggling answering many of the questions. To help him fix this I suggested that he read the questions thoroughly before answering the questions. Once he looked over the questions I had David read through the article again, this time with the knowledge of what information he needs to focus on.
