Skills/Knowledge learned: Language level evaluation and introductions.
Topic: I met Jin Zheng and asked her about her self (are you taking classes at FSU? Are you taking classes at CIES? Where are you from? How long have you been in America?) and about her English skills (how much do you speek english? What do you hope to learn in our meetings? what is the hardest part about english for you? Are there any ways you like to learn? What's something that a teacher did in your english classes that you liked?)
She has been in America for one year and finished her CIES requirements to go to gradschool at FSU. Her English is fantastic and I am really impressed with CIES. She works as a TA in the chemistry department and is also working on research in renewable energy involving batteries. She likes crime mystery shows so I decided to send her an episode of Forensic Files and ask questions about it the next time we meet.
