I observed a CIES advanced level speaking class. The teacher
opened the class by the students introducing themselves to me with a unique
fact about themselves. Then the students had to remember the facts each other
said and had to recite it back to the class. This was a great speaking and
listening practice. Then the students broke into groups that they had been
assigned where they discussed their debate topics for their class debate on
Friday. The students seemed to be really be engaged in their debate topics and
It was really cool to see how passionate the students could become about
speaking. I loved this class!
