I participated in the CIES cultural workshop. I really
enjoyed the workshop and my expectations were exceeded. My discussion group was
very diverse with people from Saudi Arabia, Ecuador and South Korea. It was
really cool to hear what everyone had to say during the workshop. One question
I posed to my group that lead to a fantastic discussion was “how does the media
in your country portray the rest of the countries.” It was really cool to hear
inside perspectives to what each country perceives about the other countries
based on media representation. Awesome workshop! I am so glad I was able to
participate.
