Tutoring with Jun 5-28-16
Jun and I met up twice this weekend which was great for me
because I really need to get all of my tutoring sessions in. today we worked
more on speaking and describing. We played a game that I found online to help
students with describing. It was challenging for me to come up with activities
that would work to do over skype, but this one seemed to work really well!
First I drew a picture on a piece of paper in front of me (a house). After I
was done I used specific descriptions to instruct Jun to draw the same image
that I did. For example I told him “draw a square about the size of a playing
card, next draw a triangle on top of the square.” He seemed to really enjoy
this game and it was fun for him whenever he came up with the right drawing or
whenever I was able to draw his drawing from his descriptions. I hope to do
this activity next time.
