Feedback provided to tutee: Today I had Jun watch a video on a cartoon named Cyber Chase and the episode was on Fathers Day. This show has an educational component and I thought it would be fun to introduce to Jun and he happened to have watched it before. I asked comprehension questions after the 9 minute video which were not too difficult considering the length of the video and he asked to watch it again, but I told him to try answering without re-watching. I asked the questions and he answered. For the remainder of the time, Jun and I played the story game where he created a story based off a picture I drew.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that longer videos are more difficult for Jun to process everything, especially without writing notes, and he mostly remembered things from the later parts of he video. He was able to answer the questions correctly though, but since it was an early morning session before school he was less focused and I found out he was actually working on math homework throughout the entire session, which was not good, so I told him if he did well then we could end a little early so he could finish homework before class.
