Topic/Skill: Writing and Vocab
Feedback provided to tutee: David has some of the worst handwriting I have ever seen. So, we did A LOT of writing this session that incorporated vocab words he had to learn for school, and also some that I found online applicable to his age group. I also modeled the proper hand-written alphabet for him and had hime copy this. After that, I told him that I was going to be particular about his handwriting...
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: David was pretty happy to be doing something different apart from the Reading Comprehension we had been doing, so he was pretty attentive and focused. Also, when he tries (keyword: tries) he can write very well. However, his speed decreases dramatically when he has to focus on handwriting, but slowing down also helps David come up with better sentences to write for his vocab words.
