Topic Discussed: Carneiro and I met again today at Cascades after he got out of his CIES classes. We talked about different food we like, his job back in Portugal, and his college experience.
Cultural topics you and your partner learned: I learned that the culture surrounding eating is extremely different in Portugal. They eat much more formally there, and people there never eat with their hands. Carneiro said that the way we eat here in the U.S. is much more practical than it is where he's from. We also discussed his college experience and how in Portugal, you don't have to get a Bachelor's degree before you go to law school, which is what he did.
