Trevin Blount CO 3

Date/Time: May 5th 9:00-9:50

Location: Bellamy building FSU campus

Instructor: Candace Warmka

Level: 2 grammar

topic: irregular verbs and the simple past tense

Lessons learned about teaching: I got more ideas on how to incorporate kinesthetic and tactile learning like writing on boards, this method is excellent since it activates several different learning styles and reinforces memories using different parts of the brain. Again I saw the importance of review to ensure that skills and knowledge are firmly wedged in students' brains (maybe I could compose a simple song incorporated the firms of irregular English verbs). Ms. Warmka went over homework, reviewed target grammar, and had students practice using past tense verbs by having them recount the story thus far of the colony of Roanoke, which I thought was a clever and obvious way of engaging students and giving them an opportunity to use the simple past tense.
