Topic/Skill: Minimal pairs and general conversation for grammatical issues
Feedback provided to tutee: The tutee improves in his pronunciation with minimal pairs every time. He also seemed very mindful of his grammar, as the amount of mistakes were much smaller this time.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: The tutee struggling with hearing, but especially producing, the differences between /ɪ/ and /i:/, but the problem with /ɪ/ were not as pronounced when we practiced /e/ and /ɪ/. There were a few times that he pronounced /ɪ/ as /i:/ in this pair work, but most of the time he produced the correct sound well.
