Topic/Skill: Grammar and Writing
Feedback provided to tutee: I went over different types of pronouns - subject, object, possessive, and demonstrative, and possessive adjectives with Fadia. She did really well forming sentences, especially with the example sentences given. We then went over he writing composition assignment.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Example sentences are extremely helpful to showcase how to use specific grammar items. Fadia sometimes mimicked the sentences, so I would encourage her to change it up, and make her sentences longer which she was able to do, but she just needed a little push. When it came to the composition assignment, I learned that Fadia was a bit confused with the setup/ planning for the essay. This could possibly be because she learned a different way of essay formats before, but I walked her through it and she outlined her essay.
