Date/Time: 28th April, 2pm
Topic/Skill: Listening practice (5 ways to listen better)
Teacher presentation: Starts with an interesting activity that 2 students introduce each other, other students take notes and then ask 3 questions about it. In addition, students listen to a TED lecture called '5 ways to listen better' and answer questions.
Classroom Management: The teacher tried to make the class fun and comfortable, making some jokes. However he also made it clear about the importance of taking notes.
Materials: A question sheet about the lecture.
Student Participation: Every students got to introduce themselves to the class and also listen to others. They interacted to each other.
Feedback provided: The first activity seemed a little bit to long. 2 students introducing each other, asking questions about it, 2 students introducing themselves, asking questions, and having a quiz about it. I guess he could make it short and spend more time on the next listening practice.
Lessons learned about teaching: I learned that it is important to make students feel comfortable in class. It was very fun class and the students seemed to participate more.
