Feedback provided to the tutee: He has a strong command of English idioms and speaking, but some phrases get mixed at times.
Lessons learned about tutoring/tutee: Mastering a new language takes in so many new phrases, concepts and constructs. I have been working with my tutee for over half a year and he works so hard to improve his vocabulary all the time, it makes me admire him and wonder if I would ever be able to achieve such an intellectual feat as mastering a language from a different family.
