Date/Time: 5/5/15, 2pm
Topic/Skill: Vocabulary - Food
Teacher Presentation: Agenda, review of vocabulary, listening video, student interaction, Cornell notes, "quiz" and review
Classroom management: Student desks all face the front of the class, boys and girls sat seperately from one another.
Materials: White board, projector, computer, notebook paper
Student participation: The students participated with the teacher and her questions. They also participated in the activities she assigned them and ask questions when they had any.
Feedback provided: Mrs. Clappetta would often give the students cultural lessons and ask them about the difference between America and their own countries, specifically about foods.
Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: I learned that I could remember to not only focus on vocabulary, grammar, skills, etc. but that I could talk to students about cultural things and tell them my own stories and anecdotes of my experiences growing up in the United States. I also liked how Mrs. Clappetta constantly modeled on the projector how and what she wanted the students to do. I feel like this is something I need to remember to do with my own students.
