Julia TS#2

Date/Time: 4.27.16 at 3:15 pm

Location: Booksamillion

Topic/Skill: We learned about plural and singular nouns. I first showed him a video that I found about plural and singular nouns. We then talked about what they are and he seemed to understand the concept very well. We then did a couple worksheets picking through words and deciphering if they are singular or plural and then also practiced making singular nouns plural and vice versa. Andy had also told me on our first session that he loved reading books about space and planets so I found a level appropriate book and told him to pick out the plural and singular nouns on one of the pages.

Feedback provided to tutee: Andy did a very good job with this lesson and was able to concentrate the whole time and by the end of the session, I believe, felt confident in knowing the difference between singular and plural.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Andy was very appreciative that I got a book that would interest him. He also really enjoyed the video and working on a game on the computer that helped him practice singular and plural nouns
