Topics Discussed: Reading strategies for standardized tests, European history and culture, and food.
Cultural Topics you and your partner learned: Faisal was struggling with some practice exam work and so I told him background information for the reading, such as what the Renaissance was, who Nicolaus Copernicus is, the who what when where why of the scientific revolution and other bits of European history. I also suggested visiting the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg when he is in Tampa next. We also discussed typical dishes from the Middle Eastern region and I suggested a few local restaurants for different American food.
