Topic/Skill: Government and Idioms
Feedback provided to tutee: We discussed the way that our governments run and the current presidential elections. I taught new Dojun new vocabulary words such as "liberal" and "progressive." We also discussed idioms and I taught Dojun idioms such as "Don't judge a book by its cover," "I'm feeling a bit under the weather," "That was a piece of cake," and "Your guess is as good as mine."
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Today I sped up my rate of talking and learned that Dojun has very good listening skills. He is able to comprehend what I say even when I talk at a fast rate. I also learned that he has a very high vocabulary, even in specific topics such as government. He has a very high receptive vocabulary, but needs practice on improving his productive vocabulary.
