Jessica C. CP #6

<CP #6>

Date/Time: May 27th @ 9:00 AM

Location: CIES- Cultural Exchange

Topic Discussed: I was in a group with three people from Saudi Arabia, one male from Mexico, and one female from Japan. We talked about religion, stereotypes, schooling, dating, typical food

Cultural topics you and your partner learned: I learned that Mexican food here in the US is much different than in Mexico, it's more spicy there! I also learned a lot about the Muslim religion, why Saudi women wear burkhas, and that they eat with their right hand only.  I learned that in Japan, they usually eat with chopsticks.  I learned that schooling is very similar in all four countries and that dating is similar in Mexico, Japan, and the U.S., while in Saudi Arabia it is very different.
