Trevin Blount TS 9

Date/Time: May 19th, 7-8PM

Location: Leon County Public Library main branch.

Topic/Skill: Speaking and grammar

Feedback provided to tutee: His fluency and accent are markedly better than when we started our tutoring 7 or 8 months ago, but at the moment he is Sinifying the grammar of English so that no morphology is used, so now we need to add that back in.

Lessons about tutoring/tutee learned: Practice, practice, practice. Progress can sometimes mean sacrificing some things for others. The experience really illustrates that learning a language means learning and operating in distinct categories some times, even though the aspects of language learning are related.
