Cultural Topics You and Your Partner Learned: I had always been told that people from the Middle East are extremely hospitable and I was happy to have that confirmed. Faisal very kindly brought delicious tea for us to enjoy while sitting out at a gazebo in his apartment complex. I challenged his English conversation skills by asking questions about Islam like the Hajj, Mecca, and legends surrounding the Prophet Muhammad. I also learned about the oases that Arabian families like to camp at. He learned fun English words like recreation, meticulous, etc.
