Topic/Skill: School/Speaking and Listening
Feedback provided to tutee: Dojun and I discussed school. We talked about what school is like in South Korea and how it compares to school in the United States. Dojun kept a log of difficult vocabulary that he encountered during our conversation and we discussed them at the end. I kept a log of grammar mistakes he made while talking and we discussed those at the end as well.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that Dojun has a very large receptive vocabulary, but he needs more practice in order to improve his productive vocabulary. Having the opportunity to have free practice by engaging in a normal conversation over Skype is very beneficial for him.
