Feedback provided to tutee: he did so well on his math test that I thought he could move on to some concepts he would encounter in the next grade, and I hope I had shown him a good way to study.
Lessons learned about tutoring/tutee: I think this tutee might really like to have a safety net. On his final math test he did very well and we had reviewed the metric system several times and he should remember how many decimeters are in a meter, how many fluid ounces are in a cup etc. however, the tutee insisted on having a table to show him all the conversions before working on the problems I had modified from his textbook. Once he had his conversion table though, he performed all of the problems easily.
