Date/Time: 4/28/16 9:00am

Topic/Skill: Grammar- Present Continuous

Teacher Presentation: Review quotes that students found, correct grammar on board, check on simple present with written game, watch Mr.Bean video, create sentences to practice vocabulary and present continuous.

Classroom Management: The class was quite small and very attentive. All the students sat around one central table and the teacher walked around and continually spoke to each student. Little classroom management was needed.

Materials: Whiteboard, mini whiteboards, markers, projector, pencils, note paper

Student Participation: Students participated in all activities including sharing their quotes, participating in simple present check, and present continuous activity.

Feedback Provided: The instructor provided feedback on both the content and grammar of the quotes that the students brought in. The instructor collected each of the students' practice sentences during the simple present check and the present continuous activity. She then corrected their grammar on the board alongside the students while also praising their use of vocabulary and grammar.

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: I learned that learning grammar can be really fun if students are very active and involved, and the activities are interesting and fun. I thought it was extraordinarily helpful to the students when Mrs.Warmka reviewed on the board and commented on each student's quotes and sentences. I also learned that the teacher can help facilitate students sharing their culture with each other, even in a grammar class, by doing activities like bringing in quotes from their own language.
